A missile strike targeted a house in the Pakistani tribal area of South Waziristan, near the borders with Afghanistan, left at least six people dead, official said.
The missile was fired from Afghanistan; reports say and hit a house next to a mosque in Azam Warsak village. It was not clear if Taleban militants or NATO-led forces fighting them have launched the missile, a Pakistani security official said.
Pakistan has protested against recent NATO strikes in which civilians were killed, BBC said. Local residents told a news agency that the missile struck a local tribesman’s house and suspected militants used to stay there. Other villagers said they heard jets coming from Afghanistan before the strike.
